Vision

At Precious Daughters our vision is women set free to impact the world and nurture future generations through God’s love and the power of the Holy Spirit.

Leslie, Bertie and three friends were filled with God’s love, joy, freedom and FIRE at a renewal meeting in 1996. Completely transformed, they sought to encourage other women with the revelation of His love and purpose for them. The first Precious Daughters conference was launched when the invitation went out to the spiritually hungry in the Pacific Northwest. What we thought would be a small gathering turned into a flood of 1,200 women from Alaska to California and everywhere between, all looking for a fresh touch from their Father. At the first meeting in 1997 women came to know that they were His “precious daughters” and through that revelation hundreds were saved, baptized and filled with the Holy Spirit.

We continue to hold annual events, monthly revival meetings and weekly prayer. Women leave our gatherings renewed, refreshed and remade. God’s transformative power and freedom in Him changes families and communities as women walk in their renewed relationship with Jesus. Our message of freedom for women has traveled from the north western United States, including Alaska, Montana, Oregon and Washington State to Australia, Canada, Europe, India, Israel and New Zealand.

The fact that I am a woman does not make me a different kind of Christian, But the fact that I am a Christian does make me a different kind of woman.

Alberta "Bertie" Church

Founder

Bertie is a visionary and encourager. Her casual story telling style of speaking inspires, encourages and builds faith. An unassuming petite stature hides a powerful minister who surprises even the most seasoned of preachers.

Many have been healed through Bertie’s faith filled prayers. From her earliest years Alberta enjoyed a foundation in faith and healing as her parents ministered with John G. Lake. Emma and Al Altorfer took their daughters to minister with “Dad” Lake in the healing rooms, on the streets and in the meetings, carrying them home long after the last street car had passed by. Bertie has traveled the world, from Oregon to New Zealand, speaking in church services and conferences.

Leslie Leland

Founder

An energetic and humorous speaker, Leslie brings a message of inner healing and joy through relationship with Jesus. Leading people into a closeness with the Holy Spirit, is one of her many giftings. From it’s inception, Leslie has been at the forefront of Precious Daughters spreading the good news that Jesus loves to bless women.

Leslie’s vision for reaching the lost “has enlarged the place of her tent” from pioneering the Messenger ministry feeding the homeless to evangelism in remote villages of India. Ordained by the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel she served on the ministry staff of the Portland Foursquare Church for 10 years before moving to administrate Precious Daughters.
